The organisers of the Nürburgring Endurance Series had tried everything to facilitate a double header. Although a comprehensive, detailed hygiene concept was laid out as numerous adjustments to the existing measures were made, it was not possible to go ahead with the finals weekend. The number of cases skyrocketed, thereby putting an end to the Nürburgring Endurance Series as the new lockdown was imposed.
The season was substantially impacted by the Corona pandemic which has now led to an early end. All five results will be included in the ranking without any elimination results. Under these circumstances, Mühlner Motorsport with the Porsche #979 sits in second place in the final classification of the Cayman GT4 Trophy by Manthey-Racing 2020 with a total of 43.5 points.
The Porsche Cayman GT4 team showed passionate commitment despite all the restrictions and had a great season – but Mühlner Motorsport is more than just #979. The Mabanol team thanks the entire Mühlner team – everyone directly involved with the car as well as the staff in the box – for a successful 2020 season and wishes ‘Godspeed’ and many points for the next season!
